The Games NEED You!

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service is hosting the 10th World Firefighters Games as its contribution to Liverpool's European Capital of Culture year.  And with 5,000 competitors expected from 40 countries, an army of dedicated volunteers are needed - could you be part of the WFG08 team? 

Roles include meeting and greeting competitors, looking after VIPs, helping at the Olympic-style Opening Ceremony at the Echo Arena, driving and administration.  Training will be given, a uniform will be supplied and a Volunteer handbook provided. 

If you would like to help and will be aged 18 or above at the time of the Games

A Youth Worker (CRB cleared) with a group of young people aged 14 - 18 years who would like to volunteer
