The Big Drink Debate
Regional survey called the Big Drink Debate, which is to be launched on 12 May.
Our Life has partnered with Government Office North West and the Home Office, to create this debate around the use of alcohol and its impacts on us as individuals, communities and society.
The debate will revolve around a questionnaire which will be available both on-line and in hard copy. The survey is the largest regional survey of its kind, and will be the first step to finding effective ways of promoting safer and more social drinking in the region, which currently rates 9th out of nine English regions for harmful and hazardous alcohol consumption.
The aim of the questionnaire is to uncover how much our population drinks, what their attitudes are towards alcohol consumption, including what they like about drinking and what might trigger them to drink less. The information gathered during the debate will inform the next steps that Our Life will take in partnership with stakeholders.
