Lords Mayors Parade Success

Liverpool Youth Services Mobile Project, The Place took part in this years Lord Mayors Parade.
They decided on a back in time theme to old Liverpool when horses and drays were used in the docks, not just for carrying machinary and goods but also the workforce. Young People worked hard for many weeks before the parade preparing the float and costumes.

The Lord Mayor asked everyone to consider being environmentally friendly. After some discussion the group came up with the horse and dray idea. Jeff was our driver for the day and the dray was pulled by two shire horses, Bob and Jeff.

The young peoples energy during the day was fantastic.

All participants in the parade are invited to a Sunday lunch with the Lord Mayor, when all the Trophy winners are announced. The Place were very pleased to be awared the trophy for the Best Float that met the Lord Mayors Theme.
