Join The Beat

National Museums Liverpool's Youth Theatre is recruiting for a new project.

We want to work with 13 - 17 year olds, using drama, physical theatre, music, media and film to generate performances inspired by our Beat Goes On Exhibition (due to open in July 2008). Exploring songs and lyrics from Merseyside bands and artists and linking these with locations in and around the city, the performances we create will be performed across our venues to tie in with the exhibition and at events such as the Liverpool Children's Festival.

If you are interested in joining our Youth Theatre for this project and are 13 - 17 years old, please just drop in to our taster session on Saturday the 7th of June, from 11.30am - 12.30pm at the Treasure House Theatre, Level 1, World Museum Liverpool.

You'll have opportunity to meet the current members of our Youth Theatre, take part in drama exercises, play some great drama games and be able to get a flavour of some of the work we have been creating in the lead up to this project.

Hope to see you there!
