Youth Opportunity Image
Liverpool Youth Service was awarded 1.5million over two years to operate two funds -
Youth Opportunity Fund and Youth Capital Fund from the government.

This money was for young people aged 16-19 years to apply for things to do, places to go and people to talk too.

The Youth Capital Fund could be used to do up buildings, purchasing equipment, mobile vehicles etc.

Youth panels locally managed the youth opportunity fund; young people make decisions on which applications should be approved and established the criteria.

Both funds have been used to support a range of programmes and activities in local communities.
